JOB DESCRIPTION
The HSE Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager at Rockwell American’s Leaf Spring Manufacturing plant in Seagoville, TX. The HSE Manager will develop, implement, and champion policies and procedures that promote employee safety and well-being.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks
- Develop and enforce OSHA policies (e.g. accident reporting process)
- Direct accident investigation procedures and log of all near misses.
- Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
- Organize and conduct OSHA training plans
- Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
- Liaise with and report to official regulatory bodies on OSHA matters
- Manage plant safety processes to promote a safety culture
- Performs other tasks or duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is required
- 3 to 5 years specific experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must be bilingual - SPANISH
Prefer:
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and extended hours as necessary to support production needs
- Can-do attitude combined with high energy level
- Proven experience as safety coordinator or similar
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA guidelines and practices
- Experience in reporting and developing policies
- Experience in implementing OSHA training programs
- Excellent communication and advisory skills
- Diligent with an analytical mind
